Research Request Policy

The McDonald County Historical Society maintains a list of resources and references that may assist persons interested in local genealogical and historical research. Included in these resources is a list of the locations of cemeteries in McDonald County.

The Society is staffed by volunteers who donate their time and assistance; this means that some resources may be limited at times. The Society also provides a list of professional researchers who support the Society and may be contacted for independent research.

Research Requests

To request research, contact the Society by email or postal mail. Each written request should include your full name, postal address, and e-mail address if available. Please submit only one request at a time and wait for a response before submitting another request. A nominal fee is charged for copies, postage, etc.

If submitting a request via postal service, please include as much information as possible regarding the specific request and a phone number where you can be contacted.

General research requests are $10 per 30-minute block of research time.
